How do I get certified?
There are many regional and national agencies that certify businesses
as being minority, woman, veteran, or Service-Disabled Veteran-owned.
We have provided information and
links to some of them here.
top
How do I register my company?
From DIR's home page, click on Diverse Supplier Free Registration. You will
be taken offsite to another secure screen where you can begin entering
information about your company.
top
What is the registration process?
The registration is a two-step process. When you first register, you will be
asked basic information about your company's ownership, contact information,
whether the business is minority and/or woman-owned, and certification. Based
on the information provided, you will be emailed a login ID and password. With
this ID and password, you can login from our home page and complete your profile, and keep it up
to date if any changes occur in the future.
top
How much information do I
need to provide when I register?
It is important that your information is complete. If a purchasing agent
for a Major Corporation searches on a
field where you haven't provided information, you will not show up in
their search. For instance, if they search for a type of business based
on NAICS, and your listing does not include a NAICS, you will not be found.

What is a Registration Key?
With your registration key, multiple users in your company can access the portal.
Each potential user uses the key to create an individual account, which will
then need approval from your company's account administrator. After approval,
they will receive their own login ID and password.

Is my listing free?
Yes.

How do I attach/update my certificate?
To update, add or delete M/WBE and HUBZone certifications
you will need to access your Organizational Profile. This function be can
found once you log in, by clicking on the "My Account" module or the "Company
Admin" module (dependent on your access
permission). Once you access the "Update Organizational Profile Function" click
on the
"Certifications." From there, you can add, delete or update diversity certifications.
Please DO NOT attach resumes, company brochures, product info, etc., or
non-supplier diversity (minority/women/veteran/Service-Disabled veteran
owned/HUBZone certified business) certifications. They will be deleted.
If you have technical problems with attaching or updating your certifications, please contact SupplierGATEWAY support at (216) 592-2522.

What do I select if the Business Council I am certified with is not listed as an option?
All Regional/State branches of the NMSDC (National Minority Supplier Development Council) are included under the NMSDC Regional Council. If your business is certified by one of the
regional offices of the NMSDC, select the NMSDC Regional Council certification type for your profile. Do not select State certification for State branches of the NMSDC.

Why are there no opportunities shown under Contract Listings? Or why does the Bid Center show
"No Bids Found"?
DIR encourages buyers to post opportunities in the system, but because
the search features on the site are so comprehensive, corporations typically
just search for companies that provide the products or services they are
looking for and then contact them directly. The only time you are likely
to see an opportunity is if the buyers are looking for a unique product
or service.
If you have any questions regarding the Bid Center, please contact SupplierGATEWAY support at (216) 592-2522.

What is the National
Minority and Women-Owned Business Directory?
The National Minority and Women-Owned Directory
lists certified minority and women-owned businesses for use by purchasing
agents in major-corporations that would like to purchase products or
services from minority or women-owned businesses. In
print format, this annually-updated directory is marketed towards
libraries, bookstores, and companies looking to do business with minority
and women-owned businesses.

How safe is my order?

there is a secure connection between your browser and our website server, represented
by the padlock icon on the bottom of your browser screen. The payment
information is then encrypted on our server, and forwarded to our offices
for processing. At no time is your credit card information left floating
